Oleg was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. The US became his second home in 2013, when he joined graduate school at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Oleg holds a Ph.D. in Economics from that institution. Upon graduation in 2018, Oleg was an assistant professor of Economics and Finance at Drew University in Madison, NJ, and later at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2025, Oleg returned to Hawaii to pursue his passion for using his two decades of experience in finance to help ordinary people navigate their financial situations and build wealth. His company, Ivanets Investments LLC, is a registered investment advisor with the state of Hawaii.
